On the rock wall picture I used an adjustment layer to edit the brightness and contrast non-destructively.  Then I used a smart filter to add the fresco effect.  After, I went back with black paint and took the effect away on the grass and sky part.  I really liked the texture it brought to the picture.  I did the same thing with the adjustment layer on the red river picture.  I add a water color filter by making the picture a smart object.  Then once again with black paint I took the effect off the sky.  On the horses I added a fresco filter and on the yellow flowers I used the Gaussian blur.  Then I went back with the black paint and made the main flower sharper and clearer.
